Cloud spending remains substantial, with nearly half of all workloads and data now situated in the public cloud. Digital transformation remains a high priority, and there’s a need for increased revenues through innovation, with the cloud at the core.
The Flexera 2024 State of the Cloud Report investigates the public, private and multi-cloud usage of 753 global cloud professionals from a survey conducted in late 2023. It uncovers both the pressures and the strategic initiatives they’re utilizing to remain competitive in today’s dynamic and evolving landscape.
Cloud usage continues to grow, wasted spend is beginning to decrease and budget pressure remains high. For the second year in a row, organizations are citing cost control efforts as a larger challenge over security, reflected in the growing adoption FinOps teams and associated cost-savings initiatives.
